Support
Tell us what happened
One form for a bug, a missing feature, or an accessibility barrier. Touchtone has no account and no server, so this — not an email address — is the only way to reach us: we publish none anywhere on this site.
Most questions about Touchtone are answered by how it's built — the pages below are usually faster than we are.
Look here first
Privacy explains exactly what the app sends off the device, which is nothing — no account, no server, no analytics, no ads, checked against the shipped source. Accessibility explains how Touchtone works for gross-motor-only input, and names where the site itself still needs a verification pass.
Two questions come up often enough to answer here directly. What happens to a voice recording made with the vinyl brush is on the Privacy page — short answer, it never leaves your device. Whether Touchtone works if you can't make a precise tap is on the Accessibility page — short answer, there's no precision target anywhere on the play surface. If the answer you need isn't on either, the form above is where to ask; there's no email address to write to instead.
What support cannot do, and why
There's no account, so there's nothing for us to look up and nothing to reset. We can't recover a lost universe, restore a deleted system, or tell you what a recording sounded like once it's gone — not as a policy, but because none of it exists anywhere but your iPad. Touchtone never opens a network connection, so there's no copy of your work on a server somewhere for us to reach on your behalf.
Your galaxies and recordings live only in the app's own private storage, saved automatically a few seconds after any change. If you lose the device, or delete the app, that's genuinely the whole of it gone — we have no backup to offer, because we never had a copy to begin with.
Reporting a problem
Say what you were doing and what happened instead — which view you were in (Universe, Galaxy, or Solar), what you touched, and what you expected. If it's an accessibility barrier, say what got in the way and, if you use one, which assistive technology — those are treated as bugs, not as requests we might get to eventually.
The form above takes a bug, a missing feature, or a question in the same box, with no menu of categories to pick from first. Say it in your own words and it reaches the same place either way.
